The forest has moorlands and plains. The forest is also home to wildlife and its thick vegetation provides perfect camouflage for the herds of elephants. From your lodge one can see elephant herds surrounding the waterholes, to drink water then disappear back into the forest.

Sometimes you can witness Buffalo bulls fight over water territory in spectacular battles similar to the gladiators of Rome. Genet cats occasionally enter the lodges to visit guests and welcome them. Rhinos, the Bongo antelopes also drink form the water hole.
